Tense

Tense: Tense is the concept of time. In English grammar tense is used to refer to time of an action or event. Tense can be differentiated into three categories.
                                                                                         1. present tense,
                                                                                         2. past tense,
                                                                                         3. future tense
And all of these tense are differentiated into four categories. 1. indefinite, 2. continuous, 3. perfect, 4.perfect continuous.

Present tense:The present tense is a tense whose principle function is to locate a situation or event in the present time.
present indefinite: present indefinite tense is used when an action is happening right now or when it happens regularly.
                         Structure: Subject+ Main verb+ Object
                          Example: I eat rice.
                                           He goes to school.
Note: If the subject is third person singular number then 's' or 'es' will be added with main verb.

Present continuous: Present continuous tense is used when an action is continued or going to be continued in near future.
                             Structure: Subject+ be verb+ ing form of main verb + object
                               Example: I am going to school.
                                                He is reading a book
                                                They are going to Cox's bazar.

Present perfect: Present perfect tense is used when the work has been done but it's effect lasts.
                            Structure: Subject+ Have/Has+ Past participle form of main verb+ Object
                             Example: Shamim has eaten rice.
                                               I have done the my homework.

Present perfect continuous: The present perfect continuous tense is used for an action which began at some time in the past and is still continuing.
                            Structure: Subject+ have been/has been+ ing form of main verb+ since/for/from
                                                + object
                              Example: I have been reading for an hour.
                                               It has been raining since morning
