Rules Of Voice Change

 Voice is the way of expressing verbs which describes whether the subject does the work or it has been
done by the subject. There are two kinds of voice.  1.Active voice, 2.Passive voice


Transferring rules, from active to passive 
 Rule no.1: In passive voice the subject will transfer to the place of object and the object will take the place of subject.

Rule no.2: In passive voice the auxiliary verb will be changed. There are rules for changing the auxiliary verb for each tense. it is described below

 Rule no.3: Only the past participle form of main verb will be used as main verb in passive voice.
   Example: Mustafa eat a mango
              => A mango is eaten by Mustafa.

Rule no.4: The word 'by' will be used before subject in passive voice.

Rule no.5: Other words such as 'with' or 'to' may also used instead of word by depending upon the subject of the sentence. These words are used in a very few cases.
 Example: I know him
             => He is known to me
                Water fills a tub
            => A tub is filled with water.

Voice change of imperative sentence 

1. In imperative sentence the passive voice will follow this form: Let+Object+Be+Past participle 
Example: Do it
           => Let it be done.
               Open the window
          => Let the window be opened.

2. If the active voice is in the negative form then the passive voice will follow this structure:
   Let+Object+Not+Be+Past participle
Example:Don't throw it
           => Let it not be thrown.

3. The passive form has to begin with ''You'' if the object of active verb is not mentioned.
Example: Work hard
            => You are advised to work hard.
                 Please do the work
            => You are requested to done the work.

Basic Concept of Gerund, participle & Infinitive

A gerund is a present participle (verb + ing) which works as a noun in a sentence. A gerund can only function as a noun.  Example :  1.    Swimming is a good exercise. 2.    Teaching is a great profession. 3.    Chair- sitting is a funny game. 4.    Playing for this team is an honor. 5.    Sleeping at this hour of the day is not good for health.
