Student and social services

 

Students are human beings. Students are the future leaders of a nation. After equipping themselves fully with education, they need to come forward to serve the nation for welfare. By doing some of these activities they can get a clear idea about society and social problems. 

There are so many scope for student to serve the society. Bangladesh is beset with many problems. The major ones are illiteracy, population growth, unemployment, health and sanitation, natural calamities etc. Students can play a vital role to remove some of these problems. For this, they need not hamper their studies. They can serve society in their leisure time or long vacations. 

Students can play a necessary role in removing the illiteracy from our country. They can setting up a volunteer in setting up and teaching at night schools and Friday schools. In those schools the illiterate adult people and worker children can get primary and basic education free of cost. Such steps will be very helpful for removing illiteracy problem.

Students can also take part in the development of agriculture of our country. Most of our farmers are illiterate and unaware of the scientific cultivation methods. Students can make them aware of using scientific and upgraded methods. By doing all of these our farmer can get a good result of cultivation.

It is also necessary to participate of students at the health sector. They can teach the mass people about the basic rules of health and sanitation. They can encourage people to drink pure water, use sanitary latrines and adopts other basic health and hygiene. They can encourage the people to get their children vaccinated at proper time. The population growth problem is increasing day by day. they can encourage people to use family planning methods.

Bangladesh is beset with natural calamities. Many natural disaster like flood, cyclones, droughts etc strike this country almost every year. Students can help the people of this country under such emergencies. They can make people aware and give important suggestions to adapt with those kinds of natural disasters. Students are educated person of society, So their roles are very important to build up a better and developed society.
