Verb
Verb is a word as well as a part of speech that describes what the subject of a sentence is doing. Rule-1: If the subject of a sentence is a singular number then the verb will be singular. If the subject is plural then the verb will be plural in the sentence. Example: We are very happy. He is a student. Rule-2: If two or more than two subjects connect with "and" then the verb will be plural in sentence. Example: Tom and David are two brothers. He and his friends have just arrived. Rule-3: If two similar kinds of noun connect with the word "and" and they also bear same meaning then the verb will be singular in the sentence. Example: Bread and butter is my favourite food. slow and steady wins the race. Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy.
