We are the student of your school of class nine. Our annual examination is over. So we are interested to go on a study tour. It is a suitable time for study tour. Study tour gives us much pleasure and helps
us to acquire knowledge. Our class teacher will guide us. Now we need your permission.

So, Wee therefore hope that you will permit us to go on a study tour and oblige thereby.

Basic Concept of Gerund, participle & Infinitive

A gerund is a present participle (verb + ing) which works as a noun in a sentence. A gerund can only function as a noun.  Example :  1.    Swimming is a good exercise. 2.    Teaching is a great profession. 3.    Chair- sitting is a funny game. 4.    Playing for this team is an honor. 5.    Sleeping at this hour of the day is not good for health.
